Arrest Made In Paterson Shooting, Prosecutor Says

A 21-year-old Paterson resident was arrested and charged on Wednesday, Sept. 25 for shooting a 56-year-old Paterson man in June, authorities said.

At 10:51 p.m. on Friday, June 28, Paterson police responded to Mill Street and Market Street and found the victim, who was transported to a nearby hospital, Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia Valdes and Paterson Police Department Officer-In- Charge Isa Abbass said.

An investigation determined Marquay Crawford was responsible for the shooting and he was arrested by New Jersey State Police in Elmwood Park.

Crawford is charged with attempted murder, multiple weapons offenses and endangering the welfare of a child, authorities said.
